This was a night to remember for John Hardiker and every single Stockport County fan. Jon Macken had put City ahead early on, and with Luke Beckett missing a penalty after Goater handled on the goal line, County needed a miricle to get anything out of this match. Lady Luck was with County for the last 5 minutes, as John Hardiker headed and tapped in 2 late goals to send a packed out Edgeley Park absolutley barmy! Hardiker will always be remembered for his 2 goals in the last 2 minutes to win County 3 vital points!

Glynn Hurst and Shefki Kuqi are the heros!

Man City 2-2 Stockport County

Stockport County battled hard for this point, Glynn Hurst and Shefki Kuqi bagged the important goals for County. Both players were involved in the 2 goals, as Kuqi pulled the ball across goal for Hurst to hit home, and Hurst was knocked over inside the box, so Kuqi struck the penalty home infront of the County fans. Darren Huckerby had a goal disallowed as the ref said that the ball had gone out of play before he scored from an acute angle.

Hardiker's Famous Night!

Manchester City 1-2 Stockport County

After being 1-0 to arch rivals Manchster City, Stockport County grabbed two goals in the second half thanks to Alan Bailey and Tony Dinning. Ian Moore's shot hit the post and Bailey has on hand to hit in the rebound against his former club. County secured the amazing win after Nicky Weaver tried to be cleaver and dribble the ball out of his box, but Bailey tackled him and then was through on goal but was knocked down by Danny Granville inside the box. Tony Dinning flat footed Weaver from his penalty and placed the ball into the bottom corner of the net. Stockport County fans who had been singing all night, (including me!) went absolutley wild and celebrated long after the final whistle!
